Apprentice Farrier working with Rebecca Meehan

Charlotte is an apprentice farrier working closely alongside Rebecca Meehan and is an established and as such is a valued presence within the Ashmount Forge team environment.

While Charlotte is employed and trained by Rebecca as part of her apprenticeship, much of her work is carried out day-to-day within the Ashmount Forge business, meaning she is a familiar and trusted part of the wider team.

Charlotte is approaching the final stage of her apprenticeship. She is known for her quiet enthusiasm, reliability and willingness to learn.

Like her mentor, Rebecca, Charlotte has a genuine interest in horses beyond the forge. She now owns and cares for a former Roger Varian runner, Arizona Jewel, which was rehomed to her and her mother — a reflection to her commitment to horses.

Charlotte represents the next generation of farriers. With a strong grounding under Rebecca and daily exposure to high-level racing and stud work, she is building a solid foundation for a promising future in the profession.
